ambient air monitoring

Ambient air monitoring

The Environmental Management Authority (EMA) Air Pollution Rules 2014 are now law. Organizations are now required to report the concentrations of potential pollutants as described in Schedule 1 of the Rules.

With instruments specifically designed to detect the lower levels of parameters in ambient air, we can monitor for parameters such as

  • Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and nitrogen oxide (NO)
  • Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
  • Hydrogen sulphide (H2S)
  • Carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Ozone (O3)
  • Particulate Matters 10 and 2.5 (PM10 and PM 2.5),¬†amongst others

We can assist you in designing an air monitoring programme to ensure that your organization complies with the Rules as well as determine the air quality in general at your worksite.

As part of this monitoring, meteorological data such as barometric pressure, rainfall and wind speed and direction can and should be collected.
