Environmental Compliance Audits & Gap Analyses of the TGI Cement Bagging Plant, Georgetown

Sygma Environmental conducted a comprehensive environmental compliance audit for the TGI Cement Bagging Plant situated at 2-9 Lombard St., Georgetown. This audit was conducted in strict accordance with the Environmental Permit (Renewal) issued by the Guyana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The audit comprised two key phases, each accurately executed to ensure a thorough assessment of environmental compliance. The initial phase involved an in-depth off-site audit of the organization’s documents. Sygma Environmental scrutinized critical documents, including the Environmental Management Policy, supporting objectives and targets, organizational chart, Environmental Management Plan, environmental procedures and programs, and the permit issued by the Guyana EPA.

The second phase encompassed an on-site audit, involving a holistic examination of activities, documents, and records. This process included the observation of activities, perusal of documents, interviews with staff members, and a walkthrough inspection of the facility.

Sygma Environmental formulated a detailed report highlighting identified gaps and providing viable means to close these gaps, ensuring strict compliance with environmental regulations. This report was subsequently submitted to the client, offering actionable insights into enhanced environmental performance.
